Church bookings:
To present a brief (15 minute) overview of SR and to perform the postlude and/or offertory during the worship service, we ask that a freewill offering be taken during the service. In order to have time to present our entire message and mission, we would prefer to do a show separate from the worship service, perhaps in the afternoon or evening. A $395.00 fee would apply to the full-length show. There could be anywhere from 5 to 15 drummers at one of these performances, which would last approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours.

School bookings:
We perform 4 or 5 songs and present a message pertaining to character education during a school assembly that would last approximately one hour. During a school assembly, Sheltered Reality uses an innovative combination of music, high-energy choreographed percussion routines and special effects to grab the attention of youth. As the assembly progresses the intent is to build on each preceding strategy, eventually reaching the climax that brings home the point of choosing positivity over negativity. We include a fun portion at the end of the assembly to teach everyone that doing good can, and should, be fun. We like to have ALL ages when we do assemblies; so please include the elementary grades when possible. We have a $395.00 fee per assembly (but negotiable, especially if there will be multiple assemblies in the same town.)
Conference bookings:
SR is often asked to perform at educational and other professional conferences, and/or conduct workshops. Our presentation can be of any length. Traditionally, conference honorariums have ranged from $500.00 to $1000.00, depending on the budget. For smaller conferences, we are able to negotiate lower fees as well.
Fairs, Festivals & Parades, etc:
Our summer calendar is usually filled with performances at town festivals, county fairs, state fairs and other celebratory events. For our summer events, we can perform anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes for a fee of $395. We bring a lot of energy and fun to every performance, but we still include the message. For an additional fee we can be a part of your parade as well - we will need you to provide a full-size flatbed trailer and a 3500 watt (minimum) generator.
How Do I Join SR and What Do I Need To Know?
Sheltered Reality is a drum group for all ages young and old. The group has practice sites across the Midwest and hundreds of members overall. The first step of the journey is to Take A Chance, come to a few practices and find out what it means to be part of SR. Our drummers share the goals of (a) being the best you can be, (b) learning to work with others, (c) learning to help empower success in our audiences, and (d) learning to effect positive change in the world. Coming to a few practices will help you discover if this is something that fits your life and makes sense in your heart. So, Take A Chance!!
